Over 4.5 million overseas Pakistanis have been granted the right to vote after President Asif Ali Zardari issued an ordinance.

But overseas Pakistanis will be not be able to cast vote on Saturday, May 11, elections because the votetime is too short to make arrangements.

According to the ordinance, overseas Pakistanis would have to get themselves registered with the Pakistani embassy in their respective countries.

The ordinance said that polling stations would be set up within the premises of Pakistani embassies in foreign countries.
